Cinemas around Balham

Odeon Cinema Streatham

47-49 Streatham High Rd, London SW16 1PW, UK – 0333 014 4501

I watched the Back Panther here the last time I was here. I bought my tickets through Taste Card for which we were placed in the 'VIP' area where you get a specific seat. People are dodgy, but I didn't have to fight with the boys who were sitting on my seats. Children were dancing in front of the screen by the end credits of the movie. The cheesy nachos are fabulous, the price-value is just perfect. I easily recommend the place for a good movie, but stick to the numbered seats of you can.

Good cinema. Nice sound. Comfortable seats. Easy to get your tickets especially when you book them online

Clapham Picturehouse

76 Venn St, London SW4 0AT, UK – 0871 902 5727

Lovely old fashioned cinema with about 5 screens. Comfortable seats, smallish rooms and screens. Comfortable rather cluttered entrance with bar where you can get drinks and some food to bring into films. Helpful, friendly staff. Very busy at weekends, essential to book films. Very conveniently positioned in a small pedestrian street with restaurants opposite and around, and very near Clapham Common tube station. Clapham High Street, 2 minutes walk, heaving with bars and restaurants of every type. Also many shops, and of course, the Common.

Love my local pitcher house, warm intimate cosy vibes. Great membership deals on food and beverages and discounted movies. Very pleased to have this on my doorstep. Staff are always friendly and up for a chat. Customers around 2x month on average. Total movie and wine geek. 👍

Ritzy Cinema and Cafe

Brixton Oval, Coldharbour Ln, London, Brixton SW2 1JG, UK – 0871 902 5747

One of my favourite cinemas in London. Two bar areas. Pretty small toilets though. On Monday one can grab tickets super cheep. Helpful staff many good places to eat or have a drink around. Easy to use, offers website ticket booking. This place just has its unique charm.

Good cinema showing the latest and also classic films. The main screen is good and the seats comfy, although there isn't much change in the seat height, so you have to crane your next if you sit in the first few rows, although this is the same for many cinemas. There is a bar upstairs that is good for a drink before of after although it does get busy. You can take booze bought from the ticket desk into the cinema and they have a good selection although it is pricey at pretty much a fiver for popcorn or a small bottle of beer.

Theatres for Balham

Cineworld Cinema

Wandsworth High St, Wandsworth, London SW18 4TF, UK – 0871 200 2000

Best renovation ever. Definitely a cinema you want to go to. 100% recommended and a 4DX is a must try experience. Very good layout and seating is amazing. The cup holders lift up for more comfortable seating. Definitely a high standard cinema.

Great for school holidays especially the movies4kids films. They cost £2.50 per ticket for both adults and children and generally screen at around 10am. Great screens with plush seats and surroundings. Snacks and drinks are expensive. Choose where you seat and can be booked online but cost a little extra if you do. Choice of 2D 3D and 4DX viewing for some new releases.

Theatre503

503 Battersea Park Rd, London SW11 3BW, UK – 020 7978 7040

Great little theatre. Perfect for seeing and experiencing close up theatre. New writers. Exciting stuff. Don't wear heavy clothing though cos it's small and hot inside.

Great place for having a night out nice service and various amenities as garden and downstairs main bar.
